Abstrak

Educational facilities and infrastructure are important components in supporting the implementation of education because they contribute to the effectiveness of learning activities and school programs. Effective facilities management involves not only the availability of facilities but also planning, procurement, distribution, inventory, maintenance, storage, and disposal. This study aims to describe the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management at SMP Islam Al-Maarif 01 Singosari, including its management system, planning, procurement, distribution, inventory, maintenance, storage, disposal, facility conditions, and the challenges and efforts undertaken by the school. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through field observation, interviews with the Vice Principal for Facilities and Infrastructure, documentation, and literature review. The findings indicate that facilities and infrastructure management at SMP Islam Al-Maarif 01 Singosari has generally been implemented through relatively systematic stages. Planning is conducted at the beginning of each academic year by considering learning needs, facility conditions, student numbers, teacher proposals, priorities, and budget capacity. Procurement is mainly funded through the School Operational Assistance (BOS) and is carried out through SIPLah or manual procurement mechanisms. Inventory management is conducted through a master inventory book, although the coding of newly procured items has not been fully optimized. Maintenance involves the facilities management team, cleaning staff, and the entire school community. In general, the school's facilities are in good condition; however, additional computers are still needed to support technology-based learning and assessments. The main challenges include budget limitations, differences in teachers' technological competencies, and limited time for inventory labeling. The school addresses these challenges by establishing priorities, providing teacher training, and gradually procuring additional facilities.
