Abstrak

Drugs remain a serious problem in Indonesia, threatening the future of the younger generation. According to data from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in 2024, the prevalence of drug abuse among adolescents has increased significantly, particularly in urban areas and areas with high distribution access. Drug abuse has far-reaching impacts, ranging from physical and mental health damage, decreased academic achievement, to involvement in criminal activity. This study discusses the importance of collective efforts in "embracing a drug-free future," focusing on three main strategies: education, prevention, and guidance. Education is carried out through counseling, media campaigns, and the integration of drug-danger material into the educational curriculum. Prevention involves the active role of families, schools, and communities in creating a safe and drug-free environment. Guidance focuses on rehabilitating victims of drug abuse so they can return to being productive and contribute positively to society. This study uses an empirical legal approach, collecting data from scientific literature, official BNN reports, and interviews with Nusa Sejati Vocational School students, Sejati community leaders, and relevant officials. The study's findings indicate that success in reducing drug abuse depends heavily on synergy between the government, law enforcement, educational institutions, youth organizations, and the active participation of young people. Collective awareness, social support, and a commitment to healthy living are key to creating a drug-free future. With consistent preventive measures, ongoing development, and support from all parties, the nation's next generation can be protected from the threat of drugs and achieve a bright future.
