PELATIHAN PENGUATAN EKONOMI MELALUI PENDAMPINGAN PRAKTIK KEWIRAUSAHAAN MAHASISWA STAI MA’ARIF NGAWI DALAM BUDIDAYA MELON HIDROPONIK BERBASIS GREENHOUSE

Abstrak

This community service program aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of STAI Ma’arif Ngawi students through hands-on practice in hydroponic melon cultivation using a greenhouse-based Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system. The activity was carried out in Teguhan Village, Paron District, Ngawi Regency, over a three-month period, involving 30 students from four study programs and five supervising lecturers. The implementation adopted the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach, encompassing the stages of discover, dream, design, and destiny. The results indicated significant improvement in students’ knowledge and skills related to crop management, nutrient regulation, and agribusiness analysis. The cultivated melon varieties, Sweet Net and Sweet Hami, achieved an average fruit weight of 1.6 kg with an 85% planting success rate. Economically, the project proved feasible with a return on investment (ROI) of 147% per planting cycle. Socially, it fostered awareness among local communities about modern agriculture and encouraged the emergence of young agropreneurs. This program demonstrates that integrating Islamic education, agricultural technology, and entrepreneurship can effectively build student self-reliance while empowering rural communities toward sustainable development.
