PENGUATAN PESANTREN SEHAT MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN TEMPAT SAMPAH TERPILAH DAN EDUKASI PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH BERKELANJUTAN DI PP ASSALAM

Abstrak

The healthy Islamic boarding school program is one of the programs that highlights the importance of implementing clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in the Islamic boarding school environment. This healthy Islamic boarding school program certainly needs to be continuously promoted to eliminate the stereotype that appears in society that Islamic boarding schools are identical to dirty and slum learning environments. To realize a healthy Islamic boarding school, one of the things that can be done is through sustainable waste management activities whose final output is to support health programs, especially in promoting a clean and healthy culture in the daily lives of students. The community service activities carried out by the UNIRA Malang Team at PP Assalam Jambewangi Blitar, used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, with several stages of activities starting from initial condition analysis, focus group discussions, development of separate trash bins, socialization and education of sustainable waste management, and finally reflection. From the series of activities, all residents of the Islamic boarding school were actively invited to discuss and practice sustainable waste management at PP Assalam, residents of the Islamic boarding school were given education related to the use of separate trash bins and practiced it in their daily lives. From all stages of activities carried out, it can be concluded that the understanding of Islamic boarding school residents regarding sustainable waste management has begun to develop, and they have consciously begun to implement waste sorting through the developed sorted waste bins. Through this waste management program, it is hoped that it can improve the clean and healthy culture, as well as the realization of a clean and comfortable learning environment at PP Assalam Jambewangi Blitar.
