Membangun Karakter Generasi Muda Melalui Perspektif Sosiologi Pendidikan Islam di Era Modern

Abstrak

The advancement of digital technology and rapid social changes in the modern era pose significant challenges to the character development of the younger generation. This study aims to examine the character building of the younger generation through the perspective of the sociology of Islamic education. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing various relevant literatures, journals, and scientific sources concerning Islamic education, character, and the social dynamics of modern society. The results indicate that Islamic education plays a vital role in shaping the character of the younger generation by integrating the values of aqidah, sharia, and akhlak into daily life. Furthermore, family, school, and community serve as the three main pillars supporting each other in this character-building process. In the modern era and Society 5.0, Islamic education must not only preserve foundational Islamic values but also adapt to technological advancements and social transformations. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening the concept of Islamic value-based character development relevant to modern challenges. Consequently, this study can serve as a reference for developing character education to foster a younger generation with integrity, noble character, and the ability to navigate global changes wisely.
