This study aims to 1) describe the content of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material for Senior High School (SMA). (2) analyze the relevance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material to the modern era. The methods for analyzing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material used in this study are document analysis and contextual analysis. The study concluded that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material for senior high school level has been designed to cover fundamental aspects such as the Qur'an and Hadith, Aqidah, Morals and Character, Fiqh, and History of Islamic Culture. The preparation of the material is carried out systematically from grade 10 to grade 12, with the main goal of forming Islamic character and integrating religious values in everyday life. However, in the midst of the challenges of the modern era, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material faces various obstacles, such as widespread penetration of digital technology, socio-cultural changes such as individualism and consumerism, and moral-ethical issues, including moral degradation and moral relativism. Nevertheless, the analysis shows that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material remains relevant in strengthening aqidah, forming morals, and providing a contextual understanding of fiqh. To improve the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education learning in the modern era, curriculum updates are needed through technology integration, improving teacher competency and supporting facilities, and developing a technology-based evaluation system. With these steps, Islamic Religious Education materials can continue to contribute to forming a young generation with noble character and able to face the challenges of the times.
