NILAI–NILAI PENDIDIKAN DALAM KITAB TA‘LĪM AL-MUTA‘ALM

Abstrak

Education reviews are important, because students are the young generation who will determine the fate of the nation in the future. The education scheme of students formed today will determine the character of the nation in the future.

Prophet Muhammad as the most powerful human being who ever lived from the earth has given an example of how to create a national character and influence the world. The Prophet said: "Actually I was sent to fix the manners," from the Hadith, it can be understood that the special mission of the Prophet Muhammad was sent to the world to create a noble character, which is in line with Islamic and social norms.

Al-Zarnūjī in the opening of his book "Ta'līm al Muta'allim" explains his motivation for compiling this book, namely because there are some students of knowledge who do not acquire knowledge or he acquires knowledge but does not benefit from that knowledge. According to Al-Zarnūjī, this is due to a lack of attitude or ethics in his studying. The decline in the personality of some students of knowledge and teachers that was felt by Al-Zarnūjiy at that time, we are still experiencing and is even more worrying.

The author found many interesting things to be studied more deeply. be more specific in the chapter on things that cause easy memorization and forgetting. In the article it is stated that among the things that can cause forgetfulness are passing under the camel's saddle, reading the writings on the graves and so on. This then raises the question, how to avoid reading inscriptions on graves can be one way of educating. Although this chapter also mentions that one of the causes of forgetfulness is eating sour apples, which may be explained medically or biologically.

From the problems that the author has described above, the formulation of the problems in the discussion of this thesis are: 1) What educational values are contained in the Ta'lîm al-Muta'alim chapter on things that make it easy to memorize and forget? 2) Is there any relevance in the Ta'lîm al-Muta'alim chapter on things that make it easy to memorize and forget about education?
